Before 1985

First serious walk was in 1968 up Striding Edge on to Helvellyn then down to Grisedale Tarn.

 

From 1970 to 1985, just casual walking in the Lake District often around the Coniston area.


1985

Week in the Yorkshire Dales taking in Ingleborough, Whernside, Thornton Force, Malham Cove and Gordale Scar.

 

Odd walks in Derbyshire including Shing Tor, Cats Tor. Roaches, Alport Towers.

 

A few days in the Lake District taking in Swirral Edge, Helvellyn, Lower Man, Raise, Striding Edge and Catstye Cam.



1986

A few days in the Yorkshire Dales around Grassington, Hebden Bridge, Buckden and Starbotton.

 

Day on the North Yorkshire Moors.

 

A weeks Mountain Leadership Training at White Hall in Derbyshire including an expedition to the Lake District around Scafell Pike and Eskdale.

Weekend in Wasdale taking in Great Gable and Kirk Fell.

Week in the North Yorkshire Moors.

Day walk in Yorkshire Dales near Barden Towers.

 

Day in the Peak district on Kinder.
